About the station
Coleshill Parkway railway station is located about 9 miles east of Birmingham and a mile north of the market town of Coleshill. As a parkway station, Coleshill Parkway serves as a park-and-ride interchange rather than serving a town or city centre.
Coleshill Parkway was opened in 1842 and was originally named Forge Mills. The name changed several times during the 20th century until the station closed in 1968. The station was reopened in 2007 and renamed Coleshill Parkway.
Facilities at Coleshill Parkway include 240 car parking spaces and 20 bike stands on the station platform. The station car park is open 24 hours a day and has CCTV coverage for security. Toilets and National Key toilets are available as well as a RADAR key from station staff on request (note the station is only staffed part-time).
Accessible facilities at Coleshill Parkway include 13 accessible car parking spaces. Customer help points are available, and an induction loop has been installed. The ticket machines and the ticket counter are both accessible, and you can also collect pre-purchased tickets here. The station has ramps for train access, and wheelchairs and step-free access is available throughout.
For more information about how CrossCountry can help please see our priority seating and travel assistance options for your journey.
As it is a parkway station, Coleshill Parkway is well served by public transport options and Onward travel includes trams, coaches and local bus routes which serve nearby towns as well as Birmingham City Centre. There is also a regular shuttle bus to Birmingham Airport. Onward travel information from Coleshill Parkway is available to download here.
CrossCountry serves popular direct routes such as Birmingham to Coleshill Parkway, Leicester to Coleshill Parkway, Cambridge to Coleshill Parkway and Stansted to Coleshill Parkway.

The excellent transport links from Coleshill Parkway mean you have plenty of options to explore the local area, and being only 15 minutes from Birmingham, you also have the whole city on your doorstep, from walking tours to national events.
We have created a dedicated ‘things to do’ page highlighting activities and destinations from across the country, so inspiration for your next trip is only a click away.
