We’re delighted to see our ongoing commitment to the UK Scouts movement is helping young people become responsible citizens of the future.

A great example is the ongoing work by Eastleigh (Hampshire) Scouts as part of their Community Scouting Badge. A grant from the CrossCountry Community Engagement Fund to Three Rivers Community Rail Partnership (CRP) has inspired a creative, intergenerational partnership between the Scout group and ‘Men’s Sheds’, a nationwide scheme to join local craftsmen together with the aim of reducing loneliness after retirement.

The team has crafted smart new planters for their station, which the young people have planted up and are maintaining to ensure a colourful welcome for customers.

They’ve also worked hard as a team to make their station even brighter by picking litter and cleaning windows.
