CrossCountry volunteers joined North Staffs Community Rail Partnership Officer, Sam Smith alongside station adopters at Alsager.
The station in the heart of the small Cheshire town, north of Stoke-on-Trent was brightened up with helpers cleaning down the extensive stone wall on the Crewe-bound platform, then painting it white with paint provided by CrossCountry. The area was also cleaned up and the gardens maintained on the day too.
It was successful with the wall being fully painted thanks to a glorious sunny day, freshening it up for some time.
