The Settle-Carlisle Railway Development Company and The Bentham Line Community Rail Partnership have collaborated to create the new summer line guide to promote great destinations on the two lines.
The 20-page leaflet features guides to popular areas such as Saltaire, Skipton, Appleby, and Lancaster, as well as essential information on train times the two Lines. The helpful leaflets were produced following feedback from visitors, who found it challenging to explore the areas owing to poor phone or GPS signals.
Funding for the line guide has been provided by CrossCountry, Community Rail Network, the Bentham Line and Settle-Carlisle Railway. Friends of the Settle-Carlisle Line will be playing a key part in distributing the guides throughout the Yorkshire Dales, Eden Valley and West Yorkshire.
The line guide is also available at stations along the Settle-Carlisle and Bentham lines and from local tourist information points. A digital version of the guide has also been produced to allow passengers worldwide access here.
